Please help! Tripping tonight

Ok I'm tripping on 4 grams tonight which is a low dose for me
I usually do about 6 or 7. I was thinking of making tea which I always
used to do until the first time I did 7 grams. it was in a tea and
it had hit my so fast and so hard that I thought I had gone insane.
since this incident I've only chewed shrooms. The way I used to make shroom
tea is by bringing water to a boil, then putting the shrooms in the water for a bout 10 mins or so
until the water was a dirty colour then pour the water and shrooms in a mug with a tea bag and sugar. Now I've read you are
supposed to stop boiling the water then leave the shrooms in the water. I can honestly say I've
never noticed in loss in how strong the trip was. Has anyone else made tea the way I do? Or is the other method superior?

I like to make tea like normal, let it cool a bit, then blend the mushrooms and tea together in a blender and drink. If you drink the tea slower, the onset will be slower as well. I know what you mean about 7g hitting fast and hard. I went from zero to crawling because I couldn't stand in less time than it took me to rinse out the blender.

10 minutes of boiling shouldn't really make for any noticeable difference in potency. Psilocybin degrades at high temperatures, but that's not much time and not all that hot.

I've done it both with same doses and there is indeed quite a loss of potency, as far as I could tell.. set and setting were the same as well.

...he he... if you only knew...! Anyway, I've heard alot about this "tea-making", but I would only do it if I grew my own shrooms, because the chance and price for coming over shrooms is not worth trying to make mushroom tea, the heat can decrease the potency and you never know, you might fuck it up in the process... I would rather rely on making sure all the psilocybin gets in my system by eating it all. But hmmm... from what you write it seems like something I'll next time.

If you fuck up making tea.. you're beyond hope. Haha.
Boil water. Pour hot water in mug. Put mushrooms in mug. Stir. Let stand for a few minutes. Stir. Drink.
How is this hard?
