demon possesion

What do people think about this topic? Ever known someone to be possesed ? Because I just recently had to deal with a friend who went through it and an exorcism which made me sleepless for almot a week straight. I would have never believed such a thing until now.

well he was experinting with weird weird occult things , using a oija (spelling ?) board a lot and taking a lot of hallucinogens and then proceeding to channel spirits and astral project. I do not get too involved with his personal activities. But one night he started shking like crazy and grumbling a lot. for about a minute , then he stopped and he lay limp and his eyes were completely blood shot and he started hissing at me and my girlfriend and our other friends. he started cursing us a lot and spitting at my gf, then proceeded to speak in some weird toungue.. my friend thought he was completely joking and says .. hey im going to go get the bible out... well all of a sudden he screamed like I have never heard anyone scream before and lept at my friend . 3 rather large guys could not hold him down .. he eventually backed off into the corner of the room , went limp then started to cry. it was quite scary.. he recently underwent a exorcism, which for some reason as almost impossible to invoke.... there is quite the process to even get examined for such a claim. Well i could not make it through , I had to leave and definatly have been scarred for whitenessing what went on.

Yup, sounds like he got a bad one.  It's too bad, sharing your consciousness with a spirit can be quite enriching and pleasant.  After it happens to me I always thank gGod I hooked up with one of the more pleasant entities.  And my friends are always entertained -- when possessed I don't bite.  Don't speak or write English either, but that's another story.

Sounds like he had a predisposition to the negative to begin with.  In the psychic/spirit realms, like attracts like.  Exorcism may work, but it's really just pushing out one force with the threat of another, greater one.  "Out foul spirit in the name of Christ!"  See?  If he's at all Christian that has a chance of working.  If he's not then integration of the demon into his psyche is preferred.

Otherwise, your friend may have a 'rider' for a while.  :frown:

Demonic oppression and possession are recognized in Christendom. There are two books worth mentioning:
'Hostage to the Devil:The Possession and Exorcism of Five Living Americans' by Malachi Martin. This book contains the Roman Catholic Rite of Exorcism that must be authorized by the Vatican to be used by Catholic Priests. The film 'The Exorcist' was based on this book.

'Ouija: The Most Dangerous Game' by Stoker Hunt

These phenomena go beyond the effective treatment of secular mental health practitioners. Psychiatrists are sometimes part of the team, but the paranormal phenomena that often occur transcends the materialist assumptions of medical science, and do not respond to medical intervention (even sedating the victim). Spiritual intervention does seem to have an effect, but can be devastating to the well-being of the exorcist[s].

My friends and I used to play around with ouija boards and spook ourselves. Now, about 8 years later I've found that a lot of it was faked by my friends, although they're sure sometimes they weren't moving it and I know I never did. A kid from school in grade 8 claims to have started poltergeist activity with a ouija board and then verbally abused his mom in his sleep using some weird voice, and still claims to this day that he was telling the truth. Who knows though

i never know what i believe whith this sort of stuff, i think it's very possible your friend could have been posssed, but i don't knwo how i feel about oiji (sp?) boards, i've always just though of them as some game made my mattle, or something.
but i guess i can't bash it untill i try it right?

anyways, i hope your friend gets better, and mabe he should try and be more careful with this kind of stuff, take it a little slower.

Iv'e read many DMT trip reports that have to do with spirits and entities, was this guy on DMT by chance? Here is a part of the Bio of Danny Carey (drummer for Tool) that I think applies to this-

Endeavors into this realm have manifested periodically, such as the time he achieved insight into a hidden aspect of the unicursal hexagram utilizing an astral journey initiated through meditation and DMT. Danny then set up his drums into proportions utilizing the circle and square of the New Jerusalem and uttered a short prayer relating to the principles of the ace of swords from the book of Thoth. He then performed a ritual utilizing his new found knowledge of the unicursal hexagram to generate a pattern of movement in space relating to Fuller's vector equilibrium model. Oujja boards do work well i used to play it everyday and have convos, ive prooved to many nonbeleivers its real over and over, i havent done it in a year and 4 years since i did it a lot, it can be a scary thing and its important your strong spirited and intelligent, its realy not nessecary thou, there is rarely something to gain, if you let a spirit control and they are bad, they will make your life hell while laughing there ass off (evil spirits), this sounds like an extreme case of control.

I know this guy that hands out exorcisms of course no one can actually prove it. He says that the person or persons possesed should be tranquil first and their world has to stop rocking before it can be done but according to him it can be done ussually not for people that aren't worth it and thus only for those few outstanding individuals.
