Attack of the fire chasing demons!!

Something I've always been fascinated by is the Chinese concept of a fire chasing demon. Fire is one of the five elements in the Chinese roster.. These elements aren't the building blocks of matter, though, rather they are the fundamental five ways energy moves, they map out the tendency of movement of energy. Fires are bright and explosive, and the element shares these characteristics. Fire is powerful, it burns, blah blah blah you've all burned stuff.

A fire chasing demon is somebody who gets off on stuff like sacrificing rabbits on altars. They feel the energy released from the dead animal and get off on it. They like doing powerful meditations, feeling real or invented power flowing through their bodies. They generally aren't trained well, because they progress quickly themselves, or so they think. They don't think they need a teacher, they're figuring it all out themselves. They move energy up down, all around, and think they know what it is that they're about, when really all their doing is pursuing this energy and consuming it (like a fire). In the end they'll burn out.

Some fire chasing demons might be evil qi gong teachers. They might teach qi gong and then steal energy from their students in order to build up power for longevity. The irony is that their attitude towards sucking energy is a horrible imbalance which results in poor mental health which means they'll die young. Poor guys.

Maybe you've met these people. I have. They might tell you about their powerful experiences with energy, talk about their powers, they might make you feel like your own practice or your life in general is worth less than theirs (but they won't say it directly). It's all part of their game. They're fuckers. This is why the name "demon" is attached to them. Fire chasing demons.

I do cocaine, but very rarely, I don't think I am a fire chasing demon though. I know I don't know it all, I hardly know anything.

well, I know alot of chronic cocaine users, and most of them seem to be chasing the fire of false self-confidence.
