PNW spring hunt pics
    #12232572 -

Here are some fruits I found today out on the Columbia river. Could I get an ID on these and are these true morels?  They look a little off. The stems were longer than I have ever seen and some of the stems were solid and some hollow.

Not bad for the day before spring. myc

Nah looks like you found Verpa bohemica, one of the false morels.

Yeah it looked kinda weird not like any true morel I have ever seen, but my hope was up. The good news is that its not far off now. With the temps (allen don't shut me down) there should be more comming. OOOOOOOOOO I love the spring and fall.

Any ideas about the shelf looking mushroom?

Last two I would call psathyrella candolleana, not sure though.

I think there are some turkey tails, The dark shelf looking one with the creme colored bottom is Fomistopis pinicola that was found on cotton wood, I belive the bright orange one is Polyporus melanopus. I agree there are false morels. I did my research in a couple books specifically Trudell and Ammirati 2009 "timber press field guide". If there are any TC who would like to correct my id it would be appreciated. myc

Nah, it's a Coprinellus or maybe Coprinoid.

Indeed. Coprinellus micaceus was actually my first intuition (Which is actually still in the Psathyrellacea family). Picture #10 is Trametes versicolor aka, Turkey Tail, while #11 looks to be some dying Turkey Tails.
