why not. Currently i just do everything in an open bathroom that I clean every once and a while. this whole enclosed shelving clean area looks like it would be way cleaner than what I currently use.

You don't think so? I figured you just slap a HEPA filter on there instead of the standard vacuum one he has, and maybe modify it to more of a glovebox type thing and itd be good

I said I don't think it would work well, not that it won't work at all. Are you pouring agar and doing grain to grain transfers in the open air in your bathroom? I would run the fan for 2-4 hours before doing the procedures then shut it off so it's a still air box.

I've never done agar work but I have done g2g transfers in the open air of my bathroom. It barely ever gets used but I also barely ever clean it. I also opened a random sclerotia jar to look through it on my computer desk up stairs and put everythign back in the jar after I didn't find anything. it has been like 2 weeks since I did that and I haven't had any trich or anything start growing. My house might just be abnormally clean of mold spores though.
