Dante's Inferno - the Video Game

god damn this game looks good. Just saw a trailer on the television then just looked up this video on youtube:



and I've gotta say it looks stunning :vaped:

now I've been out of the  "video gamin loop" for about 6 years now, which is odd since I'm majoring in digital animation at my school. but I am impressed and :awesome: by how wayyycoooool looking video games have become. :feelsgoodman:

I've lately been ignoring them because the only games I hear about anymore are either FPS or sports games and I don't find either type of game that entertaining. (fps might be for a while. but not forever)

anyway, I'd really like to get back into video games. the newest gaming system I own is a PS2. and I also have a gamecube. and like 5 games for each system. oh and an n64 but only 1 game (zelda majoras mask)

The only time I ever play videogames is when I'm playing at other people's places.

anyway.. this game looks awwwwwwwweeeessssssoooooo:awecid:

if you have the ps2 then go buy god of war 1 and 2. its better except for graphics.just beat it 3 days ago. pretty good game but a complete god of war rip off. no where near the 60 dollar price tag.

have you guys read inferno? one of my favorite books ever Dante Alighieri had one "hell" of an imagination

actually they came out with a high def version of gow1 and gow2 all on one blueray disk for the ps3, the graphics are pretty good, but not as good as dante.

i just got done beating GOW1 for the first time, and started a little bit of GOW2, then i played the dante demo...and i liked it at first its got a weird interesting story to it which is better than the GOW's...but dante copied the GOW games to much, the gameplay didn't seem very good, i prefer games with a bit more RPG style to it, lots of upgrades or items to find ect.

Dante is just a weird GOW, and GOW3 will be out in a few weeks i think or a month, and i played the demo for that game.  i dunno i think im just tired of GOW type games, i wish GOW3 had a better story to it and better rpg elements, the fighting in GOW3 is freaking awesome tho, the only question is did they show everything off in the demo, or did they save some stuff

I just got Dantes last week [ps3] This game is awesome! Way more to it than the demo.
I agree, there is enough God of War ripp-off for a lawsuit, but it still kicks ass! The graphics are just ssssiiiiccckkkk! 720p style.

If you like GOW, get this. It will be very familiar.
I will also get GOW3 when it comes out

i had to go back to the xbox360 dashboard just to make sure i wasnt playing a god of war demo

im not touching this game because of that

i got the "divine Edition" and it's fairly decent.


its quite hard with the difficulty up there :laugh:

God of War was ok.  It had an awesome storyline and a
bunch of badass, cinematic clips, but it sucked in terms
of gameplay IMO.  it was just a bunch of mindless button
pressing, no real strategy.

Reviews of Dante's Inferno say it's basically the same
thing with a new story and backdrop.

I'm into the Dante's Inferno story, but I get bored of
games of this type easily.

Edit:  When I first saw this game previewed many months
ago, I was like YESSS!!  Seeing it now, I'm pretty let
down.

If you ever want some good recommendations for PS2 games, let me know. We are playing PS2 still. We never gamed and its still all new to us! So many good games for cheap on ebay!!!!

yeah I sort of just stopped around when Gears of War came out. everyone I knew switched to xbox360 and I've never really been a fan of xbox. PS3s are so god damn expensive and the graphics are just annoying. I've only played 2 games on it and they were both fps games and I couldn't even make out the screen because it was so crowded with detail and "realistic graphics". I want a VIDEO GAME! not a freaking replica/real-life simulation of combat in a war.

It's a lot of fun if you like the Alien or Predator movies (AVP movies sucked, but at least Requiem was violent).

I would recommend it only if you're a fan of the movies. Some people are having problems with graphics stuttering on the PC version. There aren't dedicated servers yet, which is pretty lame. It seems like a console game ported to the PC. It'll be a great game once they release a few updates.
