not that i agree or believe in "the secret" but it is rather ad-hominem-y to refute peoples personal gains through a philosophy created by a man simply because that man is legally responsible for someones death.

That's an if. I want to see this someone. I do know for a fact that some people using the secret are now dead. But like I said earlier. I don't care that they are dead. If someone is dumb enough to pay up to $10,000 and too dumb to know when they are in a dangerous situation and save themselves then they will not be missed by me at least. I really think they should let him start over as I suggested. He's doing a service.

yeah, thats an if for me as well. if no one had any personal gains, i would shut up, but im betting that some people, regardless of whether or not it was positive thinking and just mere coincidence of having read a book and won a scratch off ticket, have made personal gains while practicing this philosophy.

look at mormons, many of them realize that the joe smith story is ridiculous, but they enjoy the teachings of the church and believe that their family is better because of it. when it comes down to philosophy or religion, it doesnt have to be right for people to change their lives for what they perceive to be better.
