Well I've read the Psychedelic Experience and am reading the Tibetan Book of the Living And Dying. The latter is a book that is based on Buddhist philosophy and tries to showcase death in a way to help you better your life. The Psychedelic Experience is used to illustrate a relationship between psychedelics and death. I recommend you read both of these before delving into the Tibetan Book of the Dying, it is a very complex book, and if you have no understanding of Tibetan philosophy then you won't be able to enjoy it properly.
