know anything about projectors?

im debating if i should get a projector or not for my home theater.

ive got a long living room, about 19'. that should be fine for space. ive got a big sliding glass window that lets in a lot of indirect sunlight. dont know if its too bright.

also i might be moving in june or so. how flexible would a projector be in different spaces?

Be wary as the bulbs can cost a shit ton.

Need to be replaced after X hours, and I can just imagine it being left on for no particular reason.

Woot use to have them every week for cheap, but that was about a year or so ago.

about the same as a rear projection tv (just replaced one in my moms tv). they last for about 4000-5000 hours. ill get a few years out of a bulb. and its about $200 for a new one.

i have an eiki and it works really well. i also have a 6 x 8 ft screen. shit was expensive but I got it at cost. had a friend who worked at guitar center

yeah i know i have to think about the cost of a screen too. i actually think im leaning more toward an lcd tv at this point just cause i dont know where im going to be living in a few months and that its a lot more money.

the price im looing at i can get either an adequate projector or a really nice flat panel display.. be a much smaller screen but whatev..
