Here's the deal...You have to check your insurance policy for collision. There will probably be a $500 deductable and everything above that your insurance company will cover. (But again, you need to check on that part of the policy).

Second, did you politely get the license plate or contact info of the person you were involved with in the accident?

thats what the cop said i think.. she said id have to pay a deductible.

Chances are - if you're lucky - her wages will be garnished and you'll receive 5% of the cost of the repairs after ten years.

You shouldnt have to pay the deductible. Sue her ass for it. Thats what I would do. She will lose.

Atheist, give your insurance company a polite phone call today and just tell them the facts: You got hit by another driver (be polite) and they don't have any insurance. There was a police report (which they'll ask you to scan/email or fax to them). Everything will fall into place fairly well. It's a process like everything else.
