Wash them in warm water. Maybe let them soak and try stretching them while they are still wet.

Have you ever considered starching your jeans? It gives the opposite effect but is surprisingly comfortable. I worked at a dry cleaners for 3 years and the only people that ever got their jeans heavy starched were thugs and rednecks. I wanted to see what it was all about and it was pretty awesome. They don't wrinkle and look damn good with a crease. They are also really smooth on the inside which makes them pretty comfortable. Just a random thought...

I have a technique for this, I refer to it as the "flip and flop" technique.

Bury em in the backyard for a year, or the garden preferably if you have one.  Then dig them up, wash and wear.

Depends on the climate.  I was thinking the microbes and enzymes in the soil could get to work on em.

Jeans kinda suck for this reason I think, especially in winter.

For Halloween I wore jeans to work as part of my quasi psychadelic cowboy outfit, the bulk of which was a big foam hat(It's funny) and my supervisor gave me crap because they sent out an email specifically stating you can't just take advantage of halloween as an excuse to get away with wearing jeans and a tshirt(I had a button up and Western tie).  Fucking please, since when are jeans the paragon of comfort? (Not to mention I wore a big foam hat all day with my long, thick hair down which was not exactly comfortable).

I'll take a pair of slacks or cords any day over jeans.
