Maybe you should join the coast guard instead they will pay for your college and its less of a chance to risk your life or be in combat. plus you get to live by the water and learn about boats, etc.

Pretty much every military branch helps you with college, and not every position in, say, the Marines, is a life-risking one.

It's one thing to simply enjoy a style of life that one enjoys, but it's another thing altogether to refer to another person's choice as "wrong" or to rationalize their behavior as being pathological or resulting from some sort of inadequacy or failing so as to create a sense of superiority or separation as yet another projection of a personal fear or control issue.

whatever works for you. I am not interested in joining but if i were to join i would go with the coast guard. My dad was in the air force for twenty years so I would feel good taking his advice .

I actually think it would be fun to go to war, that's why I seriously considered doing it a few years ago, but I just don't think it's worth the risk. :shake:
