How good is he?

seriously, how good is he.


I think he's a once in a generation type back.  Really.


His upside is rediculous.  He does so many things well.


For a while there he had the highest rushing avg for a season SINCE THE MERGER.



SINCE THE MERGER.




Anyways, I consider him the best back in the NFL, and will be so for atleast the next couple seasons.

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up.  let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it.  Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left.  I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me.  I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it.  epic win for me, epic fail for you.

i think the one thing separating CJ from MJD and AP is that Johnson is in serious MVP contention this year.


And breaking 2000 yards in just his second year as a pro.  You cant say that about either of the other two backs.

LT's the most overrated back in the league.


He's good dont get me wrong, but he's far from being an all timer.  Wow he had one season where he racked up a bunch of TD's.


His decline in performance was also directly correlated with Lorenzo Neal's departure.

Considering his relative resurgence I'd say his decline was related to age.

Also this will be the first year he doesn't get 1,000+ yards.
3 1,500+ yard seasons.
Never scored less than 10 rushing TDs in a year.
4 seasons with 15 or more rushing TDs.
Let's not forget his receiving skills.
2nd all time in rushing TDs.
8th all time in rushing yards.
Active leader in both of those.

I'm not saying he's great now, but I think you'd have to be dumb to think he wasn't the best back of the decade.

People who dont know about LT and how good he is dont know about football

LT's decline has been due to age and injury. He has had foot injuries on and off the past couple of seasons which kill a player like LT who rely on allusiveness

Most productive back, yes.

But LT aways ALWAYS thrived against crappy defenses.  He's played his entire career in the AFC West. 


I'm not saying he's not one of the best of this time.  He is.  Obviously.



But I cringe whenever people compare him to Barry Sanders, or put him on a goddamn diety pedistal for running on the Chiefs, Broncos, and Raiders every season.



Ladanian almost never showed up against good defenses.  Go look at his cummilative stats against the Steelers and Patriots, and compare it to the rest of his career, running over the softee defenses in the AFC west.


And people who give him all the credit for his massive production have no fucking clue about how good their offensive line was back then.


Again, i'm not saying he's not one of the best.  But I am saying he is fucking overrated by most fans who never really saw WHO he thrived against.

I went to check career splits and you're pretty much right.

Thought this was funny though. In 2003 he rushed for about 1600 yards. He gained 25% of that in one game against the Raiders :lol:

he's sooo incredibly overrated its rediculous.  The only people who put rate him too high are people who get spoonfed by the news media hype and statistics.

430 yards over 2 games in 2003

but that wasnt even his record year, his best year didnt come til 2006 when he put up 1800 yards rushing and another 500 yards receiving

He's wrong

Probably looked at the splits, say 430 and forgot they play everyone in the division twice.
