Hate the sin, not the sinner.  You should treat fundamentalists and atheists in exactly the same manner; if they break the rules then they deserve a ban.  Just having a fundamentalist belief system is not grounds for a ban.

Can they really be described as a true Christian, then?  According to the New Testament you shouldn't hate the sinner.  :shrug:

Good point, but it's hard to see how anyone can rightfully claim themselves to be a Christian when they're explicitly disobeying commands given in the Bible (I guess momentary lapses of this command followed by an honest attempt at changing one's behavior would be the exception).

Gee no kidding, but come to america and I can show you how it's used to run the whole freakin country and start or support wars and tell you what to do or not to do with your body.

Now can you see why I say they can be dangerous?

Oh it's a great method for institutional control, don't get me wrong.  But I don't think we should give up all hope of helping dogmatic believers by slowly chiseling away at their blind faith with logic and rationality.  Besides, where would be the fun in this forum if you can't occasionally butt heads with a fundie?

I'm old and don't have that much time left. :shrug: And like I said it would be like an exorcism. All that puke and heads spinning around would make me pretty ill.

Most people here come into a discussion with a closed mind. One side is always trying to teach their truth to the other. Rarely is there a two way exchange of ideas. Any more censorship would further degrade the intellectual flow.      :peace:

Well by the linguistic construction of the term a Christian would be someone who behaves like Christ, right?  Since our only record of how Christ behaved is found in the Bible it would therefore follow that...
