This happens to me a lot. If I sit/lay down in a position where I have a pillow or something on my neck it seems to decrease the blood flow to my brain. Then when I stand up quickly everything goes black and I have this feeling...almost like I am really high and then I almost pass out. I have to literally stop right where I am at because I can't see anything, and I am so light headed I can't hardly stand. I kind of like it though. =P

I get these intense head rushes sometimes. Sounds very much like the one you just had, they're pretty wild.

Haven't had one for a while though.

Drink lots of water and increase your salt intake.  I've fallen down and had convulsions from this before; it's not too much fun.


I always thought it was because of orthostatic hypotension. Turns out that orthostatic hypotension can lead to vasovagal syncope.
