umm....you realize you can't have the lights green for everybody right? Next time you go through a green light, look to your right and your left, see all those people sitting there? they're sitting at a red light, and they're pissed that you've got the green. the only way to eliminate red lights is to make everybody drive the exact same direction.

oh, and learn which version of waste is correct for your context.

Sweet idea. Now if you catch 1 light red.... you can catch all the rest red as well.

Perhaps there is a reason why so many lights use sensors to determine if there are any cars there at all. Why use a timer at all if there is no-one at the light?

I am always pissed at any intersection traffic light that does not go to "blinking red, blinking yellow" after midnight... nothing worse than catching a 2 minute redlight at 3am.

I used to drive through a more rural area, where every light was blinking red, blinking yellow... If you are on the busy road, you have the blinking yellow and no need to stop, just be aware... if you are on the less busy road, you have the blinking red and you simply have to stop and wait to go through.

no, waiting at the one red would put you in sync with the greens once it turned green. and those lovely people to my left and right go once I've gone though. I'm not saying you wouldn't snag a red every few miles or so but its better the potentially every street. especially if you are the end car in a long line but when you get stopped by the next light would will be one of the front car in the line. you goddamn negative people and your picking out the fucking flaws. of course there are going to be flaws. instead you destroying an idea why don't you perfect it I'm talking about syncing up a grid system. grid systems are stupid. id have to go into so much detail for you to truly see why exactly it would work. but it does work.

Edit:Ever seen those christmas lights that look like they are chasing each other? thats what it would look like. (i cant believe i have to explain this)

Traffic lights are often timed for people going in a straight line at the speed limit.  But most people dont obey the speed limit, and most people dont just drive in a straight line.

Isn't this an aspect of civil engineering?
The better engineers in your city the better your road designs will be. Don't think they're doing a good enough job and you really want improvement? Become a civil engineer.

the only thing constructive was that i should remember to use the right waist/waste. other then that it was sarcastic haha you suck banter wich is what I hate about the internet. I basicly ask if you think the oil fucks have there hands in just another facit of our lives and i get "light programing is impossible". And (you know what to do) its hardly even a theory ive herd it brought up on my local government channel. well besides the oil company part...

So anyway... Think those fucks would be that sneaky?

Wait, places that aren't like this still exist?
I have never done any significant driving in a place that didn't have all the lights in a straight line sync up in some sensible manner. The only way it really works is places with alternating one way streets. Otherwise shit gets all fucked up by various turns onto busy streets, streets not lining up perfectly, highway on and off ramps. It's so impossible to get a string of lights to stay green for a while without fucking up the rest of traffic though.

Just leave earlier and you won't be speeding up just to stop at the next red light and destroy your brakes.

Thus the horrors of living in kansas city. The yellow lights last 3 diffrent amounts of time depending on wich part of the city your in.
