Who the fuck are LMFAO?

So the band LMFAO are playing somewhere in my city tonight and apparently 80% of the people I know are going to see them. Everyone is super excited and almost every facebook status I see in my friends list is saying how that person is "SoOOoOoo fucking pumped to see LMFAO tonight!"

I've never heard of them before. Who the hell are they? What kind of music do they sing? are they worth listening to?

They are fucking awful. I heard Benny Benassi sample the "I'm in Miami, Bitch" and I thought it was kinda funny/cool but it turned out that the only part I liked was the part that Benny Benassi did himself (the beats he made, not LMFAO).

I don't get why people like them at all.

you have to give it to them though, whoever was behind the production of this song (probably lmfao had little to do with it) has made the most marketable song possible. they have at least 3 catchy chorus they clubbers can learn after one listen, heavy base so the song sounds full, an already popular cameo artist (who found his fame much the same way), and a general theme that everyone should be partying. how could they NOT make money off of something like this
