Cat Sniffles?

I've got a little kitty that I've had for a few weeks now. I took her to the vet and put her on antibiotics because I thought she had an upper respiratory infection. She had all the tell-tale signs - discolored eye drainage, green nasal drainage, and a pretty constant sneeze/cough. After 10 days on the meds, and a week later, she has shown no significant improvement. She is still very energetic and playful, but has constant sinus blockage and eye drainage.

I figure it has to a feline herpes virus, but I'm not sure what I should do about it. I feel sorry for her because she's all sneezy, but I am not really prepared to drop a bunch of money on meds to treat a virus that will never go away. Has anyone else experienced this with a kitten? This is my first kitten, and I just want to make sure I'm taking all the proper precautions.

My cat has also beeen sneezing a lot the past months but with none of the other symptoms.  Last year he had the same thing but with yellow and green discharge.  IDK what to say other than I hope it all works out okay.

I was going to try to ride it out, but this shouldn't go on for weeks. I might take her to the vet this week just to weigh my options for treatment.
