Why must you mist a fc but not a monotub?

A thought popped into my head today.  Why is it recommended to mist fruiting chambers, yet monotubs are put forward as a "set it and forget it" type of deal?  There are methods of keeping the rh up in a fruiting chamber, such as perlite, and the moisture of the cakes themselves, so you would think that if it's the case for one, the it's also the case for the other?  Any thoughts?

Beacuase in a Shotgun you have lots of wet perlite and you spray to keep the casing or roll layer moist. monos have inches of wet sub/casing kinda like the perlite for a shotgun and the roll or casing layer

i have had shotguns that when I did't mist they still stayed at 100%, I just mist to keep the micro climate of the casing or roll wet and fan afterwards to evap which is a pinning trigger, the big holes in a mono are enough for FAE to wick moisture from the sub/casing to trigger pinning

what he said. but there is some cases were i mist a tub to it all depends

True I forgot to add, mono's could be to dry if your local Rh is realllly low then you would have to supplement with some misting. it can depend on
conditions outside the mono

i always mist once a day on my mono's. i also only have four 1/4in holes in my mono's. i use a fan to fae on a timer for 5 minutes every hour. plus i dont use polyfil or micropore tape just open holes
