yep me too, that thing looks like it is going pretty fast.

they did a good job making it (besides from it loosing air slowly)

I stopped watching it. Its news we don't need.  I was watching Obamas town hall about education, then they break in with this breaking news,.,.


think about it... what better time for a cover-up? wouldn't the best time be when the attention is on you for something beneficial..!?

that is why I propose it is really a conspiracy, its a UFO with aliens.

In the good old days, kids used to fall into wells. Now they drift off in flying-saucer-shaped balloons. Progress?

PS: I'm waiting for the media to start going after the parents like an angry mob with torches and pitchforks outside of Dr. Frankenstein's castle. The media always needs someone to blame; a strawman to slowly burn for ratings in a long drawn out media-circus trial...

and the father didn't put his son in there. according to the story the 2 boys were messing with it in the front yard and 1 boy went inside the basket and it took off and the other boy told the parents.
the baloon was just a project the father was working on, never meant for actual use.

Hehehe... I don't know...

The parents are doomed, though. The media-driven social state will descent on them like flies. There will be reporters, police, lawyers, social workers -- their lives will never be the same again...

I give it two days before some congressman introduces HR-1072 The Saucer-Shaped Balloon Regulation and Child Safety Act. The healthcare debate will be interrupted and C-SPAN will feature angry representatives gesticulating next to foam-core mounted charts about balloons...

CNN's Rick Sanchez has never heard of anyone building a balloon in their backyard. He leads a very sheltered life. Yesterday he was wondering aloud why the security personnel at a local tavern didn't check all the patrons for guns before they entered. I guess he's never been to a corner tavern before. Like most broadcast personalities, he's really too excitable and dumb as toast...

I just got about 6 phone calls from friends living in Fort Collins.  Most of them live right by this event.  It's pretty damn hilarious.  A lot of them don't think the kid is actually in there. 

I might have to agree.

Do you think the kid saw Pixar's Up? :lol:
