opinions on my terrarium/method?
    #11200589 -

sorry I dont have pics but ill try to explain what i have and It would be nice to have a few pointers/feedback on my setup before I invest.

My plan is to inoculate 4 large mycobags with 6cc spore syringe in each and once completely incubated i will dump each into its own tray.

my terrarium will be covered on the bottom with soaked perlite and there will be a drain underneath for excess moisture.  because i dont have time to mist ill have a ultrasonic humidifier hooked up to the enclosed terrarium  (what is the optimum humidity for cubensis?).  At the top i will have 2 computer fans pointing downards for fae through air filters and i will have small filtered holes for the air to exit.  To keep the temperature inside my terrarium at the recommended 72-78 degrees (is this right?) i will have a fish tank heater hanging from the middle of the terrarium.  Humidity and temperature will be monitored using a digital reader.  Ill be using two low watt grow lights inside the terrarium 12on/12off

until now I used the pf tek method of incubating so between flushes i would soak the substrate for 16 hours.  how would i initiate flushes if im using trays?

everyone here has been really helpful to me so far and im just looking for some criticism/feedback here

thanks everyone :mushroom2:

This will destroy your fishtank heater in a few minutes.

why?

arent they meant to be under water?  the electronic part of it will be outside of the terrarium and completely sealed.

How is the heater going to be submerged if hanging from the ceiling? Seems overly complicated to me.  Dunno much about the bags. I can tell you, though, that most digital thermo/hygrometers are garbage for measuring high levels of humidity.  Probably don't need to moniter humidity if you're using perlite and keeping the right amount of water in it.  Just make sure the air exchange doesn't sap too much moisture from the air.
