He strung right-handed guitars "upside-down" so they'd be "normal" when he played em as a lefty. Lefties were tough to come by back then. Wonder if the effect on his tone was initially an accident since it wouldn't be hard to take a router to the guitar body and "fix" the slant of the pickup... :jamming:

Agreed, but i wasn't 'debating' lol, just repeating what i recently saw in the back of a guitar magazine, they went through all the guitars he used, when he used them, why he changed them & they mentioned the volume knob thing...

I haven't listened to much Jimi myself, just the obvious ones...im listening to all along the along the watchtower now though...so great
