What is your addiction?
    #2242851 - 01/15/04 12:29 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Mine is information consumption. I am a speed reader and study different topics all the time. I love libraries, technical magazines, the internet, scientific journals, newspapers, the History and Discovery Channels; etc. Nothing seems to sate my voracious appetite, I guess I want to absorb the entire combined knowledge of mankind and then some.

Im addicted to the mind and the human condition. I spend all my time searching through my brain and other peoples, consuming information as i go along with it. It allows me the oppertunity to consider very different perceptions and view points. Its a hobby of mine  .

Probably body modification, I have spent lots of time this last year stretching numerous piercings. Right now I have lobe piercings that accept plugs with a diameter of 5/8's of an inch.

I've got a bunch of addictions.
I'm with you on the information consumption. I constantly need to learn about crazy new things or I get bored and depressed. I read constantly, not only wild new science, but personal accounts from people who practice strange beliefs and lifestyles have a certain appeal.

Then there's pot. I smoke the stuff constantly... and just a week ago decided to mostly quit. Basically, for as long as I can hold out, I'm not spending any more money on it. Without it, I'm 10x more productive. So far it hasn't been a problem at all.

Unhealthy food. I think I eat better than a lot of people I know, I actually enjoy the tastes of strange and healthy foods but sometimes I'll fall into the trap of too much fast food. It's just too easy to grab a meal at a fast food place. The best and healthiest foods always require some kind of preparation... or you've got to spend a whole lot more cash and go to a decent restaurant.

Actually, I guess food in general is one of my addictions. I love trying strange new things. Strange foreign dishes are exciting... there will always be some exceptions but I love food.

There are probably plenty more things I crave but those are the ones that come to mind.

1. Chapstick
2. Sugarfree Gum (Trident and Orbit, specifically)

I can pretty much go without most other things (i.e. the internet, indoor plumbing, caffeine, etc.) for reasonably long periods of time. I suppose I only allow myself to be addicted to that which is completely harmless (unless you're a complete moron, which I am not... luckily).

acid and learning
kinda go hand in hand

i like to learn about everything. You never run out of things to learn.  Whether it be learning about people, learning how to get somewhere, learning something for school, etc

Every moment in life is a chance to learn something new.

Nope, I'm all man.
Usually girls don't have chapstick. However, they often have that weird shit like chocolate-flavored lip balm that feels like syrup.  Yeah, it makes me sick just thinking about it.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie

Ever try sea urchin? That is some strange stuff.
Basically, it tastes like the smell of the inside of a plastic disney video case. That's the only way I can describe it.
