Campus Puffy things

Habitat:
Around some flower bushes in a tropical area of school. So Texas

Gills:
The inside is grey and it kinda looks like packed sand

Cap:
Brown with speks or darker brown. Small ones about 2inch diameter, big ones about 5inch diameter

Spore print color:
Just found em, dont know, How do you print a puff?

Bruising:
None

Other information:
It seems like its lined with white on the inside of the cap. Smells good and very strong.

Found about 10-15 but just quickly picked 3 of em, didnt have anywhere to store them

What other info is useful when IDing a puff?

I found this guy right next to them too. He has a fluffy porous...erm.."cushion" instead of the usual gills

You have to cut a mature specimen in half to get the spore color.

I would say probably Scleroderma sp., but maybe Calvatia sp.

I am no expert though.

Your other pic is probably a young Boletacaea.

Yeah, very possibly Scleroderma citrinum, the Pigskin Poison Puffball.

I'm assuming the skin was fairly tough?
