Took a walk in a new place and found a few that are different from the ones ive been finding.

Found under hemlocks (trees i havent looked under till now) and some deciduous, too dark to really see last night. tons of downed trees, a lot of these found under, next to, or on them.

have to go back tonight because it was really dark and there were at least 20-30 other species in this area.

Found the ones (on the white dehydrator) in the grass and in mulch beds.

I think I identified a couple but not all of them.

wow, I see some poisonous Cortinarius sp in there, possibly some toxic Inocybe sp, some Psathyrella sp, and a wide variety of half decomposing mushrooms of no activity.

your first ones look a bit like Tricholoma flavovirens with that brownishly yellow cap, yellow flesh, and spacing between the stem and gills. probably the most interesting mushroom you found, please post more information about it including the spore print and more detailed photos if u will.

I figured there wasn't much value in these but I was most interested in the yellow ones as well. I was thinking the same thing about the other 3 you described. When I get home today I'll get some more information about them including some pics from their habitat when I go back there tonight after work. What about the larger psilocybe looking ones with blackish/purple spore prints, white stem, and brownish caps? Or the white one with the same description except its more tanish, its the single cream colored one.

it would really help if u broke ur post up, separating and numbering each mushroom, while giving detailed information about each
you would most likely get ID's rather quickly.

we have some ID HELP threads stickied in the hunting forum, you should give them a scan.

I didn't want to be a nuisance and post a single thread for each variety. I figured it might be easier for identifiers, I posted these quickly without descriptions because I rushed to do this this morning. I'm going to update it later. I also just wanted to get the pics up and see if there was value like the flavaviorens.

theres no limit to the amount of mushrooms you want ID'd in one thread and sometimes people prefer to just keep adding to the same thread by just making a new post in it.

Okay. Its just that the books I have at the moment are no good and are unlike alen's that has everything broken down to a science. Plus.... I'm right brained and a hands on learner and its difficult to learn from books. Id rather be involved, see, and feel what I'm looking at.
