They were reasonably fresh, the seedpods had just begun to open. I think I remember reading that's the perfect time to pick them. There were some other pods on the plant that were mature but hadn't begun opening yet. I figure I'll harvest those in a week or so.

Yeah, it's not something I'd entirely recommend. Definitely start small if you do try it, no need to wake up three days later bruised & battered, in a hospital bed & facing police charges (which seems to be the typical result of the experiences in erowid's vault)

Datura (and it's pharmacological siblings and cousins) is the one drug that if someone asks me about how to take it, my initial response is "Don't." Even meth, heroin, etc. I don't advise against trying so long as a person is safe about it. But datura is a whole other ballgame.

dont use seeds use leaves and flower. infact you can straight chew on the leaf and spit it out without swallowing it. only use burgmansia and wrigthii they have less negitive effects

I don't get it.  You and decypher are a like.  He would tell me about his datura experiences and i would just be like "no dude, no dude"  :lol:  I'm very causious as to what he suggests.  After our 14 gram amanita + 5 gram  cubes lemon tek trip, in the middle of the sornoran desert at night.  I gotta ask my self "get as ready as you'll ever be, cuz its about to get reallllll intense."

eh i totally find 14g of amanita a waste. as well as that much cubes. if i use cubes i would say 2g mixed with some caapi vine its way more efficient. as for dosing the datura i really suggest just nibbling the leaf and work from theere taking little bit at a time. the juice in the leaf is really where its at

It was a crazy trip.  Intense OOBE while violently vomiting.  One of those trips that you love/hate but glad you had.

I'm using the seeds because I don't know how to gauge dosage with the leaves. I know what a small dose of seeds is, roughly (though their potency is admittedly quite variable), but I don't know how to translate that to leaf. I'll probably try that once I get more comfortable with the seeds.

I haven't seen any brugs around here though, and I don't think wrightii grows in this area. I'm pretty sure the plant I'm using is Datura innoxia.
