armillaria ?
    #11145071 -

Found these growing in numbers (I mean, in excess of 100) clustered on the above ground roots of a tree a few days ago.  I immediately thought they were honey mushrooms but I've never found them before so I just wanted to make sure.  They do have the dark brown at the base of the stems and thick veils.  Also had a bit of fuzzy hairlike stuff on the tops of the caps.  Most of the ones that I picked had about 1 inch caps.  I went back today and looked and some of them are now about 3 or 4 inches in diameter.

Cool, thanks.  I wish I found actives in numbers like these.  I'd be selling 'em right now.
