Boulder or State?

So i plan on transferring from the college i go to now(community college of philadelphia) and transferring for fall semester to either colorado boulder or colorado state..but im not sure which one i should aim for.

I wanna get away and colorado seems to be the right place..i have a 3.2 highschool GPA, a 1830 on my sats, and from the looks of how easy college is compared to highschool(yeah..seriously wayyyyy easier) looks liek I should be getting a 3.5+ GPA in college so wich should I aim for I'm sure i could get into either

Is 1830 any good?

Check and see how credits will transfer. You might get stuck having to take a bunch of shit over again.

I don't really have any advice on the schools, but perhaps which one will be an easier transfer will play into it.

every college student ive ever met from boulder was either a deadhead or had dreadlocks

yeah an 1830 is pretty good...It would have gotten me into UPenn if my GPA was a lil higher

I got an 600 in Reading/English
620 in Math
610 In Writing

I may take it again before applying..couldn't hurt it can only help

1230 gets into Penn?
I doubt that.
Not a bad SAT score, just saying it isn't THAT high.
Good enough for state schools though.

I'd call both schools advisors (there should be some that deal with transfer students) and see how everything will transfer. Your GPA, your credits, see how long you'll have to go there to get a degree from them.

There is the perception that going from a CC to any school is relatively easy, when in fact you may find yourself in school for another 3-4 years.

well i know people who got in with 1700s..but their GPAs were 4.0+

And I plan on calling..but my credits should transfer I'm taking advanced english, Macro Econonomics, Intro to Business and 20th Century US history..I wouldnt be surprised if intro didnt give me a credit, but I wouldnt mind going to college another 3-4 years, so long as those credits I recieved go towards graduation

They like to accept people who get 530-630 in critical reading
550-650 in math.

Lol I'm still attending..its not that bad though..theres a couple slimmys becauseits all catholic school chicks(wouldnt be surprised if some wood girls came) since it is literally all ryan judge huberts etc..im like one of the few public school kids there

both are about equivalent.  more parties and shit in boulder probably

i went to cu boulder and loved it! plus, boulder's leeds school of business is really great.

i'd definitely look into the business schools since that's what you want to major it.

boulder is also closer to:
denver (where a lot of shows happen)
ski slopes (if that's your thing)

But really, Boulder's a great town and the school's pretty damn good as well.
