Giant Oyster mushroom?

My wife and I live on the West Coast of Canada.

We found a mushroom that looks like an Oyster Mushroom  (Pleurotus ostreatus), but at 9 inches across it is about 4 inches broader than the books say it should be, though it meets all the other characteristics.

Any opinions?
