Some kind of Oyster mushroom?

hi...guys

I'm not good at id'ing edibles.
They look like some kind of Oyster mushroom to me.
I found these yesterday out with my son.
I'd appreciate an id...so I can go pick them if they are edible.

These are almost see thru looking.
I'd like to print these or put some on agar if they are edibles.

If they aren't edible at least they are pretty.  :grin:

Well I cant tell, but, are those pores on the bottom? What was the feel like? And, is that an Oak tree they are growing off of?

They look almost like angel wings (P. porrigens) I've seen....  What kind of tree are they on?

Pleurotus/Pleurocybella porrigens is my guess for now :smile: .

Not an Oak tree thats for sure.
We don't have many Oak trees here in Washington.

It's a dead tree laying down...lolzz
I have no idea what it was...I'll go back and see if I can tell.

I just wondered if I could grow these out....I'd like to try.  :smile:
I also wanted to know if they were edibles....since I don't know jack about edibles.
I'll go up and borrow my friends Dads Mushroom Guide....its one of the best I have seen....can't remember the name of it.

The belong to the family Exidiaceae, they could be Pseudohydnum gelatinosum.

You can eat them, there are no poisonous lookalikes. However I heard that it is not very good. Look at this thread.

umm...from the first pic it looks like they don't even have gills...it looks to me (my professional opinion from a pic off a computer screen heh) like they've got little jelly hairs (pros like to call em teeth) and if they do, those cool little guys are jelly mushies or toothed mushies...and i wouldn't recommend eating em, no edible jellies taste good and some are poisonous...
mushrooms sure can bite your ass if you're not careful...or they can kill ya....either way...sucks...be sure before you eat anything...or you're stupid...simple heh

if they like dead wood, you prolly can grow them out.
