Why so much anti Obama attitudes on this site?
    #11094789 -

I have to be honest, I think he is doing a great job with all the shit on his plate, a great job in bringing respect back to the Democratic party after slick willie clinton whom i dont support and i think at least he is taking a step in the right direction of killing the War on Drugs.

Also the Republican party is going the way of the Dinosaur.

I think he is quite intelligent and progressive, and he has been known to do speeches having the guts to say and do things no president normally would do, and thats a good thing.

I dont think that can happen overnight, but these right wing propaganda of him being a puppet and what not, lets be honest, if we are unwilling to except any change in the right direction and proceed to just be the kind of people that simply want anarchy and no federal system, we shouldnt be surprised when progress has not been made in the past because we cant be bothered to not bitch and complain about every little thing.

I dont think he really could end the War on Drugs single handedly, I always tell people we are progressing towards that and if there is anything good about the Bush Administration, he has shown what Republicans really are, a drain on the economy and destroyers of our country.

The typical Republican has a silver spoon in their mouth, is lazy but jumps up and down espousing conservative values that make a lot of sense but are never actually implemented, and propping up the rich corporations to the detriment of society in turn makes a house of cards that has turned around and destroyed those corporation in the end. Auto industry anyone?

Oh boy though the Republicans sure want their bailouts despite always espousing lack of welfare and making people "try harder" in layments terms, but when the bottom falls out for them they are first to bitch that the corporations need bailouts, aka welfare.

I wont say that I am a democrat or the textbook version of a Liberal especially because i hated clinton (i wish his bitchy gun grabbing flip flopper of a wife wasnt secretary of state) but the economy is turning around, and once again I think he has a lot on his plate.

I will be blunt, as a minority, I admire his actual rise from poverty and hardship to where he is at, the American dream. Actually I would admire that of anyone.

1.  There are a lot of libertarians on this site who have a very narrow view of the proper role of government.

2.  There are some people who hate any politician no matter what.

3.  There are some conspiracy nuts who think Alex Jones is a prophet.

4.  Obama isn't a gung-ho supporter of legalization and therefore must be the devil incarnate.

I admire Obama too b/c of his rise to power, but ultimately, I dont agree with his policies, the bailouts, and all these Czars, wtf is that all about anyways? Sounds like he's gearing up for a total takeover of America.  And this progressive shit is pissin me off, America needs to be returned to the morals and values she was founded upon!

I applaud those who are willing to speak up and take a stand against progressive politics.
Because sometimes it's hard to decide whose opinion is worth listening to -- and when you state outright: "I am opposed to progress," it makes that decision much easier for me.

To add to #4, he seemed to "change" his position after he got elected.  when he was running trying to get votes his attitude was, "thats something i would consider."  Since the town hall his attitude has been " haha silly stoners, thats not gonna happen"

Did he not say federal raids on medical marijuana would end, yet the raids continue to happen

Hilary Clinton tried for this but did a really half assed job and an article I read talked about how Obama is avoiding those mistakes.

This has been needed for some time. I do believe that if he does this properly, his argument that it is needed to boost our economy.

I know damn well that the public option, being government run, is going to be crap, hey, its the fucking govt

but its better than the NO option that i have now. I did have decent insurance when I worked at Keller Williams but it was still 100 bucks a month, and an article I read that i agreed with is that people like me, and the writer of the article, rarely need to see the doctor. Therefore we shouldnt pay out the ass for something we barely use. thats what it was in a nutshell. At least having that option available would make sense.

When people avoid going to the doctor because of the bill, preventative medicine doesnt work its course and makes problems worse.

Obviously what is popular is not always right, and what is right is not always popular. Seems the only people opposed to this dont have an answer and simply parrot the same mantra of so called socialized medicine, etc.

all the bad things that they claim about socialized medicine only exist in countries that dont do it right, and the bad things they claim are actually being caused by our broken health care system that only gets worse.

its time to make a change. i should be able to go to a doctor or other health care things without getting raped on the bill. Bringing down costs simply means a few doctors wont get as many golf games while they lazily "practice medicine" and those only in it for the money will allow better doctors to surface.

its bullshit that we have the best doctors. most doctors in america suck, and even though we might have the cream of the crop somewhere that allows rich fuckers from other countries to come here, its like saying everyone should drive a 70,000 dollar mercedes or drive nothing at all.

I've said it dozens of times, in fact there's several threads dedicated
to the subject... there's assloads of free medical care in the US,
public and non profit hospitals outnumber private hospitals 2 to 1
