The "Memories of Rothbury" thread.

I made this for anyone who went to Rothbury 08 or 09 to share their favorite stories, pictures, or videos from the festival.


I just got done watching this video on YouTube and it literally gave me goosebumps. It brought back so many memories from the festival.


God, what a fucking epic weekend! I can't wait till next year!

I also came across this video on YouTube and thought it was pretty amusing..



YouTube author is AniNator, I'm guessing its the same AniNator from the shroomery but I'm not sure. :shrug:

I went to Bonnaroo this year, but next year that money goes to Rothbury without a doubt. It seemed like the coolest fuckin thing from my friends who went.

getting off the sorting work crew monday morning at 3am, showering in the nice showers, then running from the staff areas back to the campgrounds in the pouring rain with lightning hitting the ground a few hundred yards away

this has given me extra extra extra inspiration to exercise like a motherfucker so that hopefully my fucking headache while tripping/stoned problem goes away...I'm so sensitive to light and sound I'm almost scared of festivals...I had to leave the last one I went to because the sky made me feel like I was dying and the sound was waaaaaaay too loud... sorry to clog up this thread with my whining but it's a good thing that this has inspired me even more, that festival looks holy mother of god INCREDIBLE

and I would love to meet up with you hopandubman and other shroomerites as well, 'twould be the motherfucking shit!

I give Rothbury one to two more years before it turns to shit so you're in luck!

It's a 4 day music fest in Michigan. I didn't go the first year but I went last year and it was arguably the best time I've ever had in my life.

You should go.

Yes there were fireworks, and we fucking missed them :crankey:
The Dead closed the main stage on Friday night (the 4th) and most (all?) of the people I was with were tripping so we just wanted to stick around for the fireworks.
The Dead were so bad though that by the time the encore was half done we said "Fuck it this sucks!" and headed towards another stage (Tripolee, the electronic stage, I think is where we were going.)

So by the time we got to the middle of Sherwood Forest (awesome spot in between the two stage areas at the fest) The Dead FINALLY ended and the fireworks started, but we could only see so much through the trees.

So yeah, they do fireworks.
