If you could go back in time, would you still try psychedelics?

I still would, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the amount of questions they have presented me.

I think I'd be alot more comfortable, secure, and successful (in society's eyes) at this point in my life if I had never done psychedelics, but they have flooded my awareness with "truth" and opened my mind up to ideas and feelings I don't think I ever would have dreamt of.

Yes. My life would be shit right now. I was at the tipping point in my life when I first tripped. I as totally out of control. Nothing that anyone said or did could help me. After many years of thinking I would never trip, I did. Mushrooms are a sacred gift. I think of them as a soul mirror. Helping me to examine, who I am.

Yeah, I think I just haven't done psychedelics in a while and since I have been away from them so long, and the only people I have been around who trip have done them for the wrong reasons and tend to have nightmare trips, I am kind of hesitant to take that plunge of faith.

Yeah, I think I could really benefit from a trip right about meow, although it is sometimes intimidating.  Sometimes, when I'm scared or worried, I really love the delusional sense of control that comes with being sober.

It's funny though, since our minds create our realities, we do have total control over everything, just not consciously.

Yes, but I would've been more careful with dosage and/or had a trip sitter for some trips.

Yes. Not only would I try psychedelics but probably do vastly more at a much earlier age.

I remember reading drug propaganda in grade school. I was interested and excited to do LSD in particular at an age as early as 7. I remember hearing the propaganda and thinking "that drug sounds right up my alley!"
I was interested in anything that was of a "mysterious" bent.
At that point in time it was magic, space travel and UFOs.

I wasnt at all interested in smoking pot when I grew up.

I think I was really born with a tripper's mindset and doomed to become one.

Asking the wrong forum?  Do you think I want to hear "no"...?  Just seeing what people have to say about their voyage down the rabbit hole. 

It's a lonely journey for me, I don't really know anyone who has tripped or enjoyed tripping for reasons outside of trying being badass.  And it's also opened up some intimidating doors, but I am just in a shitty mood where I am focusing on the wrong stuff, me thinks.

"being badass" is why people beat their wives, drive drunk, smoke cigarettes and talk like sailors.

IMO it has nothing to do with anyone's motivation for tripping unless they are some jaded highschooler.

Part of what originally attracted me to psyches was seeking to be different rather than the same or "one of the crowd". I was very much a loner when I was younger and I feel that the experience actually helped to draw me out of that.

I thought I was a unique and special snowflake. Psyches showed me that I wasnt; and in realizing I wasnt I instantaneously was.

Do you think your mind is ready for them at that age?  I remember when I first started smoking pot I was about 14-15, and being the first drug I have ever done it was extremely intense for me.  I often asked myself how could anybody want to do acid when weed is this crazy?  A while after that once my mind became used to weed I was ready to try psychedelics, but that's just me personally.  Although, if you could go back knowing what you know now, then this wouldnt be an issue.
