Can anyone tell me a little about growing grass?

Just curious.

If someone were to grow grass in an apartment building. Would the other tenants in the building know? Even if it were like 6 plants? Would the flowering give it away? No way to hide it from nosy neighbors?

because fescue is a good forage grass and suitable for cutting as hay, it has a high street value at around $7/bale

just hook a carbon filter up to your exhaust system (which will probs be the biggest problem with growing in an apartment building)

the smell is gonna be strong with 6 plants but if you have some money to throw down you can grow pretty much any where with the right kind of filters. just dont do anything stupid

The smell will be the problem.

If you can grow in a semi-enclosed area you can control it though. here is an option.

have a light hood that has a duct fitting on top.  Buy a dayton or similar blower fan;  hook a dryer hose up from the light hood to the blower fan.  buy an ozone generator and hook up the output of that to the dryer hose.

only run the blower and ozone generator togather.  Ozone will hurt the plants if exposed to it.  So you really want to make sure the Ozone is being sucked out  just to kill the smell.

where you put the blower fan is up to you.  you will want to mount it somehow.  If you had attic above you vent to there..lol

I hope you get the idea of what I'm trying to say.  I think there are air scrubber carbon filtration ways also.
