Congratulations man! I agree that it's like a young stoner's pipe dream to go to cannabis college, but not such a dream anymore. I am certainly freakin' jealous.

I'm sincerely jealous though (also super excited for you).  It's like being a doctor of herbal medicine and actually dispensing very effective remedies.  I'm not hating on herbal medicine, mind you.  It's just herbal medicine is definitely one of those things where you're supposed to give the therapies time to kick in.  And cannabis really doesn't take all that long to kick in.:lol:

Do you by any chance have any interests in other traditional herbal medicinals?  Maybe one day you could use this experience to further your knowledge base.

maybe, i was thinking about this herbal school up north, they have a 9 month intensive course where they teach you about herbal therapies and such, i might go, it starts again in march.

If I move back to Michigan in the coming months I am going to hit up their Ann Arbor Oaksterdam campus for weekend seminars. Unfortunately they don't offer the semester program in AA yet :frown:

I'll keep an eye on their website. I've talked with a few people up there about starting a bit of a grow-op co-op, and I think this cert would help win patients/customers.

harborside, has some really primo stuff, they GCMS it all and do mold/pathogen tests also. Tell you the THC % along with the CBD and CBN. They allways have great sativas.

just got back from the first class, it was cool, the founder of the school talked about the polotics surrounding cannabis. then the hort teacher asked what topics we wanted to cover besides the set curriculum, then we germinated some seeds, and are going to watch the growth and by the end we'll get to test it out, but the bulk of it goes to a patient that needs it.

the hort 102 class is going to be taught by Ed fucking Rosenthal, i get to meet ed and get grow tips from THE man.:awesome:

all in all it was FUCKING :omgawesome: to the nth degree.

It looks like I'm moving back to MI soon, so hopefully you're right about them starting semesters in AA. Unfortunately we don't have west coast cannabis personalities, so maybe they'll fly out Jack or Ed to teach us Midwesterners a thing or two about the sticky icky.
