Question for mycotek concering the hydra-pod...

I just ordered one and I was wondering in the pcitures you have on your website there is a huge mound inside the Hydra-pod instead of seperate cakes. Is this because after the substrate was done colonizing you just broke up the substrate and piled it up or what? Did you lay something down under it? (even tho I beieve that would make the constant water source useless) I would like to know for when I begin to grow in the ones I just ordered whether I should stack the cakes inside and use a skewers to keep them from toppling over and together or just crumple up the cakes and place them inside. Thanks for help.

I am pretty sure that if you put a fully colonized cake onto another fully colonized cake they will mend togethar.
