Sclerotia Cultivation - mycobag & LC questions (HELP NEEDED)

Hello, I am very close to begininga cultivation of sclerotia using a liquid culture solution of Mexicana a strain in sclerotia formula mycobags. Before I do this, I would like to know a few things. Sorry if these questions have already been answered on the forum, I have been looking for a good while and cannot find the answers.

1) What kind of yield should I expect in 1 mycofactory sclerotia formula mycobag?
2) I recently read that for a liquid culture to work, I should introduce fresh air into the jar using a syringe on a weekly basis. How should I go about sterilizing the air which i pull into the empty syringe? I was thinking about flame sterilizing the tip of the needle as I pulled the air through but I am not certain if that would be effect. Also, is once a week enough? How many cc's of air should I introduce to the culture each time I do this?
3) I also read that after the culture is 30 - 40% colonized it can be stored in the refrigerator. What is the advantage of this (if any) and what exactly will the culture look like at about 30 to 40% colonization?

I suppose that is about all I'm looking to find out at this point. I would greatly apprectiate any help I can get.

1) No clue. You should know by now that yield varies greatly from grow to grow and from person to person. Anything more than nothing is a good grow.

2) Air is only a problem if you don't use the lc quickly or keep it properly stored. Injecting air can be a bad idea unless you have a perfect sterile tech.

3) Cold slows the aging process of your myc.

Thank you very much Cervantes. Well then, how long would an LC last if it were stored in a refrigerator, without injecting air in it? I had the intention of keeping my LC for a pretty long time and reusing it as I needed it. its going to be a 500 ml LC and I would only be using a max of 40 - 50 cc every few months.

I like to store LC is separate big syringes- 30 or 60 mL. That way if one goes bad, you still have others.
Stored in clean syringes inside a clean bag in a clean drawer in a clean refrigerator that works well, they might last a very long time.
But don't count on more than a year.
