had wiped out the terrible lizards would raptors be wearing suits, ties and glasses and texting each other while driving?

They could have opposable claws

I think, like parrots, they already do. It would be pretty hard to text with huge ass claws...

Why would you assume that the raptors would build keypads fit for primate digits?

I assume that they wouldn't be able to build much without opposable, clawless thumbs.

They would develop something that suits their needs.  Also, 65 million years is long enough for a lot of evolving to take place, so my guess is that if the dinos lived to this day they wouldn't look much like they did back then.

Long enough for a lot of extinction, too!

No likely Id say.  They had hundreds of millions years to evolve such a niche and didnt, I dont think a mere 65 more would change much.  It only took us a few million to evolve from completely no technology to some technology.

In the end it all depends on what environmental pressures would be around and that could be anything.

Uhh, yeah, that's why I said if they lived to this day.

The geico gecko won't wear a suit.

I saw no because reptiles evolve at a much slower rate than mammals. That's probably why the biggest ones died out (with climate change) allowing mammals to flourish.

Is he staying true to his primal roots or merely failing to adapt to the times?

How do you know reptiles evolve at a slower pace than mammals, and how does that account for large reptiles dying out?

Maybe he's unaware of the times, and therefore has no other option than to stay true to his primal roots?

Mammals can adapt much quicker to changing climates. Larger reptiles would not have been able to sustain themselves throughout the ages. This might even be the main reason they aren't what the once were anyway.

Growing from the size of a mouse to the size of a small building over the eons is quite an evolutionary change, is it not?
