Yes, that is quite true.  I was speaking in the vernacular for the sake of the audience.  Your explanation is much more precise and correct.

But mine had fewer words!

And don't think I have forgotten about your Girdle.  I haven't.

Maybe... The a pact of extra-intelligent dinosaurs thrived underground and had access to secret technology that the other, less intelligent and somewhat intellectually challegened dinosaurs didn't have access to, with which they created underground space ships at night while during the day they were living like average dinosaurs (with the help of anti-sleep implants derived from dinosaur telekinesis mineral extracting methods, also top secret), and one day this secret pact of advanced dinosaurs technological cultist 'ascended' into space via means of their creations. After landing on the nearest habbittable planet, (or one already thriving with past experiemental species), the creator finally decided that she had enough for her intergallactic zoo, and as of 2012, when we attempt to land on mars, a vortex will open up transporting on-ship crew to the 'Big Bang Experiment viewing grounds' will be officially open, with humans, the most pungent, self-consuming nonimitation contained in a little display case, pointed and laughed at by the other creators while they eternally smoke marijuana. (which as it happens was invented by the dinosaurs rebellions)

or...... Maybe dinosaurs were as intelligent as us, but also like us they decided not to use it and continue killing eachother. That huge crater near mexico was not an asteroid, it was a bomb from the aliens. our bomb is coming soon, but it will be our own bomb... how sad .. =(

Actually I think that the dinosaurs were an intelligent, peace-loving society until a mean dinosaur called the Tyrannageorgus Dubya BushRex came along.  He decided that since his daddy was a failure he was going to finish the job and he started an international dino-war that exterminated them all.  Then he was the last one alive.  Sadly since all his council members died in the war he was too stupid and ignorant to continue living so he died also, carrying on his father's failing, moronic legacy.
