I think I have a cataract

I have had perfect vision my entire life, until recently. My right eye has been giving me a lot of trouble over the past few months, and for the past few weeks it has become increasingly worse. I can hardly focus anything in my right eye more than 2 feet away, and colors are much dimmer when my left eye is covered.

It's driving me fucking crazy. I don't have insurance, and can't afford to shell out my own money to go see an eye doc. What the hell is a guy to do? Besides smoking pot... (which seems to help)

I feel like I have a similar problem? Can a cataract cause pain?

I have no idea. But it does feel like something is constantly pushing on my eyeball. Sort of like a sinus headache, but I can tell all the pain is stemming from my right eye.

I'm going to see if I can get the local university's school of optometry to check me out for free.

Damn that's the pain I am feeling too. I had a seizure once a few years back and my one eye got worse because of it. I have no medical insurance so I cant even get it checked out either.

One thing that isn't necessarily indicative of cataracts, but have a friend check your eyes pupil response time (they should be PEARL) and then have them look for hazing compared to your other eye.
