Going back to school in your mid to late 20's

So it I've decicded to go back to college for Im thinking a BS in Biochemisty. What do you all think? I have been out of school for awhile. Was in the army.. Spent time working and doing my own thing. I think im going to start off at a community college and from there end up going to a very good school that which my girl works at ( by this time  we will be married and ill save 65 percent on school) How does it sound guys. I know im going to like the old man of the class damn.

Dude that's nothing.  I go to a pretty small Uni and I've had people in my classes that were easily 50 or older.

I say do it :thumbup:

It's never too late to go back to school, unless you have terminal cancer or something...

yeah i've been in classes with people in their 40's+
my uncle went back to school to become a teacher in his 40's
it's not uncommon

yeah man mid to late 20s aint no thang.  it may be annoying dealing with all the 18 year olds straight out of mommy and daddy's hands, but all the older students ive known at my school tend to have a good enough time and usually develop better relationships with professors than the average student

I'm doing the same thing but I'm starting from high school level. Lots of fun hanging out with young people again. Definitely do it.

For sure.  I went back to college at 24, after I got laid off from my job in 2007. It was the best decision I ever made. The median age at my college is 35.  Do it. You won't regret it.

I'm going back to school for nursing next fall! Kind of a 180 for me...as the last time I was in school it was for computers :smirk:

Definitely go back to school.  The great thing about being older and doing it (at least if you have the same problem as I did) is you appreciate it more, knowing that it's going to make life easier in the long run.  At least that is how it feels now that I'm almost 24 and I'm looking back going "Wish I hadn't dropped out my 2nd semester..."

the average mental age of any given adult is 16.
the average mental age of any given adult out of the military is 13.
