Possibly trying nutmeg? Just plain stupid? Advice!

Nutmeg, such a household item. I have been contemplating trying it. I have heard when taken in large enough doses it gives intense hallucinations. I also heard it is painful. So what's up with this? Is it just stupid and not worth it? If it's extremely painful I don't want to do it. I can eat shrooms instead. I'd do it more as an experiment. But if I am going to regret it, I won't do it.

Anybody done it and care to share their experiences, or just know some legit info on it.

I choked down two tall glasses of milk with a heaping tablespoon in each when I was in high school.  Saw tracers, got sweaty, felt awful.  I wouldn't do it again bet I suppose everything is worth a shot (or not haha).  If you do decide to proceed make sure to get the whole nuts, not the powder, they will be more potent.

ive read people that have had good experiences with it but ive also read that in too high of a dose people getting palpitations, nausea, and just being in pain. not too sure what the dose is with it either.

It's not worth it, or at least don't have high hopes when going into it. It's not a trip, you MAY get buzzed if you get your dose right. I did once when I was a kid at home and was disappointed, my friend who did it with me laid in bed for the next three days with an immobilizing headache.

If you have shrooms do them, it seems like that's the kind of experience you're looking for.

Read a lot of reports on Erowid, before you do anything, especially some mistake like this.

Thanks guys! I just went to erowid! Definitly not! Says people experience inability to urinate, intense headaches, sweats, and everything else. If I'm not tripping or getting high it's not worth it.

Back in the day I did nutmeg quite a few times.  I never hallucinated on it.  It is not to be underestimated.

If you want to do it right extract the oil.  Get some isopropyl alcohol and add nutmeg.  Shake, settle over night.  Take the top layer of golden goodness and evaporate in a steam bath.  Depending on the batch the experience can range from a crappy nutmeg experience, to a full blown MMDA type high, with brain movies, very sensual and sexual.  Some batches have a very psychedelic head space.  The oil will lessen the bad effects greatly.  I am sure this isn't be good for the health.

I did it and my liver was swollen for two months after the fact. Which was extremely painful. And after I read a little more on it I found out it wreaks havoc on your liver

My liver is still swollen and I'm going to see a specialist Wednesday, I in no way at all recommend this

don't do nutmeg unless you wanna sleep for two days

i mean, don't get me wrong, the whole time you're like 'ahhhh holy shit i'm so comfortable sleeeeeeep' but then you wake up one day with a hangover and a funny taste in your mouth wonderin' why you ate all the nutmeg in the cabinet

also don't try to smoke it like me and my buds did in 8th grade :crazy2:
