Harvesting Conjoined Aborts

Should you pick aborts that are attached to perfect fruitbodies?  The veil should break in about 1.5 to 2 days, but the abort attached to it has been black for 2 days already.

Just leave the aborts be until that fruit is mature and ready to be picked.  If for some reason the aborts were to start rotting, or something crazy like that, just pick them then.  You may even be able to pick the aborts separately from the non-aborted fruit if you're careful.

I'd just leave them be for now.

I wish I could seperate them, but, they are actually twins.

Just leave it be unless it starts posing a problem.

It happens alot... I usually just consider it a casualty and move on.  They can be split if you're careful, but odds are you'd mess with the substrate a little too much trying to handle them in the process...

Oh, and I just reread your actual question... Yeah dude, if you've got healthy myc, aborts will be fine for quite some time... probably longer than the life of your sub... Many of my tubs' myc tends to assimilate the aborts and consider them food even...
