To trip or not to trip?

Well here's the situation. Excuse any typos I'm pretty fly at the moment.

So one of my two best friends, whom we shall call A, came home to our country for the summer (as he studies abroad) and he also brought his long time girlfriend. We had taken an oath, that during this summer, A, along with me and the other best friend H, will trip together for the first time (note: it's not first time in "taking", but it's more the "togetherness" we haven't tried before, as he studies abroad and he didn't use to do any entheogens before leaving). A "holy trinity" ritual, if you will. In any case we toked alot during the summer and now we have come to its last days. We got three doses of nice shrooms and everything was prepared. We'd trip right before my birthday party, in which i'm turning 19. But something went tottaly wrong. Right before the whole trip, A broke up with his girlfriend for good. This shattered him. He said the first few days were the worse. he felt like he was clinically depressed. He refused to take shrooms during such a period in his life. Well, this all would end here if it wasn't for a sudden twist. While here and still in relationship with his now x-girlfriend, A spent alot of time with his childhood sweet. He said he felt like they were dating. This girl, indcidentally, shares the same name as A's now x-girfriend. But we shall call this childhood sweet "I". He had always loved her, they used to date as kids, they practically knew each other since kindergarden. Deep stuff. Anyways after the breakup he realized (and i don't know how to explain that) that he was in love again with his childhood sweet I. Great. So now A's really scared and is bringing her to my birthday party. He decided today to go for the love and just see what happens, even though it is a hopeless situation since he's leaving next week and she's not studying abroad, but he's still gonna bring her her fave flower and impress her with all the sentimentality surrounding them. We; me, A and H, had a toke a few hours ago and he decided that if all goes well and he won't get blown off, he'd do shrooms with us tommorow during the party. okay..

Now for the question: DO you think it would be a safe thing to do shrooms for A with this morality background? Perhaps what i'm craving for is to know if any of you have had similar experiences, as in: tripping after breaking up with someone or during a similar period of importance in your life, and how you dealt with it? I really don't want this guy to flip out during the party and make it sour for others and I'm not too sure what to expect.

Don't let A take those shrooms man! He could regret it for the next long time. A bad trip can leave you with some awful after-effects, I advise against it. Even if he says he wants to, he doesn't seem stoked. You must be excited for your first trip, and not only excited but happy. So in short, No, I wouldn't let him trip. It's unfortunate cause he probably only comes home every like.. year, but I wouldn't let him get his hands on those shrooms personally.
