Cultivation Question

I just bought a shroom-kit (from the Vancouver Seed Bank) and the instructions sucked. It said to add only 3/4 of a cup of water to a bag of substrate that was about 8 or 10 cups. Anyway I should've added about 2 1/2 cups of water to the substrate. It's been 7 days since inoculation and I've seen almost no growth at all - only slight growth on 2 of the 12 jars.

So my question is: Is it possible to add more water to the jars after they've already been inoculated?

If you're going to add water, the best way to do so would be to inject sterile water into the jars with a syringe.

in my opinion adding water is usually a bad idea.
