which gym?

Adirondack mountains, growing on ground/buried wood.

rusty brown colored gills, rusty spore print

thick stem, brown, slight green/blue bruising same on cap

Smells like a psilocybe

ugh since where were there active Cortinarius ???

that right there is clearly a psilocybin containing mushroom im tripping on one


if anything its an inocybe


possibley Inocybe corydalina or a differnt speicies


reguardless it falls in the family of Cortinariaceae or atleast once did

one thing about incoybes

Originally placed in the family Cortinariaceae (later shown to be polyphyletic[1][2]), phylogenetic analyses suggests that the genus is better placed as the type genus of the family Inocybaceae.[3]

Maybe, but the spore print color looks a bit dark for Inocybe.

The cap looks a lot like Inocybe though.

It would be interesting to see the cystidia.

Inocybe has tan spore prints.  This is more of a cinnamon brown.  Its good to print them overnight.

well i gota say reguardless of what it is

i have eaten and got psilocybe effects if this is truely an unnamed spieces granted that i found one first i would love to name it

On a more serious note...what made you so certain that they were active and safe before you ate them? I'm too chicken shit to eat anything that I'm not 100% certain on. I'm just wondering how you came to the conclusion that they were good to go and safe.

well it was the intense smell of psilocybin if the thing actually had psilocybin and a liver toxin then im probally fucked but oh well its a spiritual process for me not just a drug and not just a scientific exploration, i could feel it in my soul the same way i can feel my reishi when i pick them or amanita.

im gona die when im gona die and i know its not for a while and have a long time to live. i guess its similar to how the natives said a spirit told them to combine caapi vine and virdis leaf. virdis on its own is inactive so shrug
