I have 3 DUIs, so it's fairly safe to say I've drank and drove.

It's been eight years since my last one.

Hell, my insurance is probably cheaper than most Shroomerites.

Among those and my marijuana possessions, I've spent a year behind bars,

and almost another year in state-run rehab facilities.

I feel that I have payed my debt to society.

I may have one beer and drive nowadays, but even I am allowed that by law.

3 DUIs jesus christ that is a lot. I have one from 2003. I know it sounds stupid but when I used to DD I would driver "safer". Like go exactly the speed limit, stay very aware of the traffic and pedestrians and such. There have only been a handful of times I've driven what I call "swirven" which basically means a little double vision and hard time keeping the car straight.

Yeah, me too.

I may have been "swirven" if I had left the Taco Bell that one time.

Unfortunately, I thought it was a better idea to clog the Drive-Thru and wait for the police to show up,

so I could fill out a report on my missing taco. :nonono:

I ate 15 yellow gelcaps in the back of the cop car.

Anyone interested in the complete story, look in my journal under "Is It Hell, Or Is It Jail" near the bottom of the entry.

That entry is dedicated to the times I've been to jail on acid.

I'm going to lunch now.

im a lot more careful now

starting this year in illinois they make you get one of those ignition breathalyzers installed in your car after your FIRST DUI

i dont need those problems

but i figure once its 4 or 5am and weve been smoking for hours after the bars closed and we ran out of beer, its generally safe to drive home in the light

but if you must drive drunk, the premium times are during strong thunderstorms and especially heavy snow.  everyone is driving like shit, you blend right in

i drink and drive with no more than 4 beers in me. i am 6ft tall and weigh 230lb. i don't start feeling anything until after a 6er.

when i was young and stupid i did it alot. the worst was when i ended up in a ditch and this tow truck had to get me. i comletely blacked out and regret that day because i could have killed someone. i passed a red light and then i was in it. when i came to i was trying to get my car out but was impossible cause it had been raining. the cop tried to give me a sobriety test. i took one step. and FAIL! i just turned around and put my hands behind my back and got a p.i. i spent the night in jail.

i wish instead of a race track we had something like those cars that crash around. don't know what its called but imagine getting loaded and then paying a fee for all-you-can-crash. that would be sweet. you drink you drive and only hurt yourself.

Of course this doesn't mean you have to be at the level of blacking out to be endangering lives.

I don't remember which comedian it was, but he said the thing about alcohol is that you don't realize when you are too drunk to drive.

i must say drunk drivers are some fuckers. at my home place a lot of people have got killed by drunk drivers. many people who drink and drive say it's fun and they really got kick out of it, but that's just wrong man.

I wouldn't

and never would,

only time I've ever driven intoxicated was the day after DXM, which was horrible - I was going 20 on the highway the whole way :frown: It was scary, I had to drive to work, and when I got there I just sat there and didn't accomplish anything. DXM Hangover is bad if you have responsibilities.

Nope. I'll drive high and I'll get in the car with people who are high if I know that they're a good driver, but I refuse to set foot in a car with someone driving drunk.

I kind of have a slight phobia of cars anyway. I've gotten into 6 really bad accidents in the past two years (I wasn't driving during any of them) and 3 of them were in one month. So since then I really hate  getting in cars period.
