Drinking and driving
    #10815193 -

Ok so I know it is bad to drink and drive, but I tend to do it alot just because I get called and have to go somewhere. Anyway so tonite I drank about 6 rolling rocks (My fav beer) and drove home so I'm just curious as to how many of you drink and drive. I try and wait an hour or so if time permits it but most times I can't. What about you fellas, Do you drink and drive?

yes I do

but I can drive for over an hour and not see another driver on the road and thats the only reason I do

I only will effect my life no one elses (other than those that love me)

I drink and drive occasionally. I try not to, though.

But in all honesty, I'm damn fucking good at it.

This is a hard question.

I have, and I will drive "buzzed"
I really am aware of it more seeing I know too many people
who have gotten popped for DUI

I don't want to join that club.

I don't, but mainly because I do not drink. I do not drink mainly because I do not want to drink and drive and almost always have to drive all night as my girl does not have a car. I have let my girl drive a few times drunk and she is still an okay drive while under the influence. I have been trying to avoid it though and she is drinking less these days. I personally am against it, I've never gotten behind the wheel of a car drunk. I just know how being drunk makes me feel and it does NOT make me feel like I would be able to drive a car safely. I don't condemn those that do, but I do think you should make the choice to either drive safely and not drink or drink and not drive. Its not you that is going to get hurt, it'll be someone else, someone innocent. I knew a guy who recently got his license taken away for driving on the wrong side of the parkway. I cannot even imagine being that drunk and driving a car. Marijuana would never cause such an incident

I fucking love drinking and driving. Luckily my bud has 15 acres of privately Owned Fire roads to Ram trees in without repercussions.

Pretty rare for me to drink and drive on real roads. Just too much to loose.

Don't really drink at all anymore.

But I would assume "buzzed" would be considered drunk driving considering your blood level. But I know exactly what you mean about the DUI's. I have friends who are 22 years old who don't have a license because of that shit

luckily, i almost never drink anymore. it's all about the herb, and i drive like a fucking pro when i'm stoned

dude i drove coming up on an extremely intense lsa dose one time and drove down the street to the store to get cigs - i must have looked SO fucked up. my pupils were huge, i was shaky in the knees, disoriented, just obviously very very off. i felt almost drunk while driving and was very relieved to get out at the park and go enjoy an intensely euphoric high for the next 5 hours  :whoo:

I've gotten a DUI, and it sucks.

I still drink and drive occasionally, but it's in a different state and I'm not going very far.

drinking and driving is a bad idea, but sometimes it has to happen i think.

Drinking and Driving NEVER has to happen. Call a taxi. You can afford the booze can't you. Fuck.

I got a DUI when I was in my early twenties and never again. That shit will follow you around for quite some time.

Right here. I know more than one person who has been killed by drunk drivers.

I'm not gonna lecture, it's just very irresponsible, because you are endangering the lives of others.

I have 3 DUIs, so it's fairly safe to say I've drank and drove.

It's been eight years since my last one.

Hell, my insurance is probably cheaper than most Shroomerites.

Among those and my marijuana possessions, I've spent a year behind bars,

and almost another year in state-run rehab facilities.

I feel that I have payed my debt to society.

I may have one beer and drive nowadays, but even I am allowed that by law.

3 DUIs jesus christ that is a lot. I have one from 2003. I know it sounds stupid but when I used to DD I would driver "safer". Like go exactly the speed limit, stay very aware of the traffic and pedestrians and such. There have only been a handful of times I've driven what I call "swirven" which basically means a little double vision and hard time keeping the car straight.

Re: Drinking and driving [Re: Drunken_Jester]
    #10817082 -

Yeah, me too.

I may have been "swirven" if I had left the Taco Bell that one time.

Unfortunately, I thought it was a better idea to clog the Drive-Thru and wait for the police to show up,

so I could fill out a report on my missing taco. :nonono:

I ate 15 yellow gelcaps in the back of the cop car.

Anyone interested in the complete story, look in my journal under "Is It Hell, Or Is It Jail" near the bottom of the entry.

That entry is dedicated to the times I've been to jail on acid.

I'm going to lunch now.

im a lot more careful now

starting this year in illinois they make you get one of those ignition breathalyzers installed in your car after your FIRST DUI

i dont need those problems

but i figure once its 4 or 5am and weve been smoking for hours after the bars closed and we ran out of beer, its generally safe to drive home in the light

but if you must drive drunk, the premium times are during strong thunderstorms and especially heavy snow.  everyone is driving like shit, you blend right in

i drink and drive with no more than 4 beers in me. i am 6ft tall and weigh 230lb. i don't start feeling anything until after a 6er.

when i was young and stupid i did it alot. the worst was when i ended up in a ditch and this tow truck had to get me. i comletely blacked out and regret that day because i could have killed someone. i passed a red light and then i was in it. when i came to i was trying to get my car out but was impossible cause it had been raining. the cop tried to give me a sobriety test. i took one step. and FAIL! i just turned around and put my hands behind my back and got a p.i. i spent the night in jail.

i wish instead of a race track we had something like those cars that crash around. don't know what its called but imagine getting loaded and then paying a fee for all-you-can-crash. that would be sweet. you drink you drive and only hurt yourself.

Of course this doesn't mean you have to be at the level of blacking out to be endangering lives.

I don't remember which comedian it was, but he said the thing about alcohol is that you don't realize when you are too drunk to drive.

I wouldn't

and never would,

only time I've ever driven intoxicated was the day after DXM, which was horrible - I was going 20 on the highway the whole way :frown: It was scary, I had to drive to work, and when I got there I just sat there and didn't accomplish anything. DXM Hangover is bad if you have responsibilities.

Nope. I'll drive high and I'll get in the car with people who are high if I know that they're a good driver, but I refuse to set foot in a car with someone driving drunk.

I kind of have a slight phobia of cars anyway. I've gotten into 6 really bad accidents in the past two years (I wasn't driving during any of them) and 3 of them were in one month. So since then I really hate  getting in cars period.
