sounds like a nifty idea but it is alot of trouble to drill glass such as this without breaking the damn things. If you want to speed colonization keep a constant temp of 85 assuming you are growing cubies. Also use more innoculant or simply use smaller jars. 400 ml jars colonize really quick. I think the pain in the ass factor outweighs the possitives of drilling jars

If you shake your jars properly there isn't much advantage to multiple innoculation sites. Try using more innoculant.
