Solve This Riddle And Get 5 Shrooms
    #10755518 -

If you solve this riddle, or explain why it can't be solved better than anyone else in this thread, I will give you 5 shrooms.

There is a village where the barber shaves all those and only those who do not shave themselves. Who shaves the barber?

This is a paradox.

Can the barber shave his own hair? No because he only shaves people who don't cut their own hair.

Can someone else cut his hair? No because he is the barber.

So in the end, there is no village or barber, which makes this a paradox.

Good try, but no. The logic of the riddle dictates that the barber must be shaved by someone. I can explain why but I am interested in seeing if someone else can explain it.

"shaves all those and only those who do not shave themselves".

Therefore, there could be some that don't let him shave them,so they can shave him?

because in the riddle it says the barber shaves the people who dont shave themselves, so if he doesnt shave himself, he (the barber) shaves his own head....

OKAY IT CANNOT B SOLVD U GUYZ

The first rule is that the barber shaves all those who don't shave themselves. So, if the barber doesn't shave himself, then he must shave himself

BUT the barber cannot shave those who shave themselves. so, if the barber shaves himself, he cannot shave himself

EDIT: the rules he lives by are extremely arbitrary and pointless

No, think about it. The barber shaves all those and only those who do not shaves themselves. This means he can't shave anyone who shaves themselves. This means he can't shave himself, because if he shaves himself he is shaving someone who shaves themselves.

StriplessRed has the best answer so far.

Paradox.

"All those and only those who do not shave themselves."

If he doesn't shave himself, then according to the riddle, he does/has to shave himself.

If he shaves, then according to the riddle, he doesn't/cant shave himself.

Its a paradox, no answer works.

Much like, if god exists, and he is all powerful, can god make a rock so heavy that he cannot lift it?

If yes, hes not all powerful.

If no, hes not all powerful.
